KINNARI statues were unearthed during the excavation.

The result of the Mam tower archaeological excavation was announced in Quy Nhon on September 27.

Vietnam History Museum and Binh Dinh Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism coordinated to carry out the excavation of the Mam tower in Nhon Thanh commune of An Nhon district in the past 3 months.

The work was carried out on an area of over 1,000 s.q meters, unearthing the whole scale and positions of architectural works as well as some ancient items.

The excavation also offered value information about the relic. Basing on the findings, archaeologists are able to identify the tower as a huge architectural complex.
