Movimar satellite system installed in Binh Dinh

The first satellite receivers using Movimar satellite observation technologies were installed on the 410 CV-fishing vessel in Quy Nhon City on November 23.

“The observation system for fishing boats, fishing grounds and fisheries resources using Movimar satellite technologies is part of project funded by France’s ODA, aiming to install the Movimar satellite system for fishermen in all coastal provinces and municipalities of Vietnam. Of the project’s 14.343-million-EUR-worth total budget, the French side contributes 13.9 million EUR. Duration of the project is 3 years (2011-2013).

Among 350 local fishing boats equipped with the system, there are 21 boats in Quy Nhon City.
