Praying for Fish Festival opens at Xuong Ly Lagoon

The Praying for Fish Festival took place in early February 1 at Xuong Ly Lagoon, Ly Hoa hamlet, Nhon Ly commune, Quy Nhon city.

The traditional festival with solemn rites was held annually by local fishermen at 2 hamlets of Ly Hoa and Ly Chanh on the 10th day of the first month in Lunar calendar. The fishermen wish to get a lucky year with safe and sound fishing trips, good fish catch and prosperous living.

The assembly following the sacred ceremony had traditional Vietnamese games and Tuong (Classical Drama) performance (photo).
