49 wheelchairs offered disabled people

On February 19, Buddhist Nun Thich Nu Nhu Nguyen from US-based Xa Loi Pagoda and representatives from Van Thien Pagoda at ward 4, district 5, Ho Chi Minh city visited disabled people in 8 districts all over Binh Dinh province. The charity team also offered nearly 60 million VND and 49 wheelchairs to the disabled, including 17 wheelchairs for the disabled from Phu My district, 10 for Tuy Phuoc district, 8 for Hoai Nhon district, 7 for Tay Son district, 3 for Vinh Thanh district, 2 for Phu Cat district, 1 for Phu Cat district and 1 for An Nhon town.

The wheelchairs are part of 2012 wheelchair donation programme for people in central region of Vietnam initiated by Wheelchair Mission USA, Buddhist clergymen and followers in US. The programme aims to assist the disabled people overcome difficulties in their life and rehabilitate into the communities.
