Two primary schools of Hoang Quoc Viet (at Quy Nhon city) and Binh Duong (at Phu My district) have just recognized by Binh Dinh People’s Committee to meet 2nd level national standards in 2011. Binh Dinh now has 3 primary schools which attain the national standards. (Ly Thuong Kiet Primary School was recognized last year).

As regulations set by Ministry of Education and Training, the schools must satisfy 5 criteria on structural organization and management, teaching staff, facilities and equipments, public participation into the education, educational activities and quality of education. The 2nd level is higher than the 1st level. It requires higher qualification of the teaching staff, higher quality of education and better facilities.
