DRR gets positive results

Norwegian Red Cross’s official highly valued the effectiveness of the disaster risk reduction (DRR) project carried out in Binh Dinh province.

The Norwegian Red Cross delegation led by its deputy head of program management Marte Kristin Fremstedal had a meeting with Binh Dinh Red Cross in Quy Nhon city on March 2.

Two sides discussed the DRR project, focusing on fields of propagation, community’s awareness of preventing and reducing disaster risks.

The project has been implemented in 6 communes of An My, An Tin, Phuoc Thang, Phuoc Hoa, Cat Chanh, and Cat Nhon with the total capital of nearly 2.6 billion VND. It aims to change the local policies, build plans for disaster prevention in the community, and raise the officials’ capacity.
