Cross-bred cows enable high income for Tay Thuan farmers
14:32', 9/3/ 2012 (GMT+7)

The cross-bred cow production alliance at Tay Thuan commune of Tay Son district has bought 89 cows for meat and 68 cows as breeders from local farmers at prices 3,000-5,000 VND/kg in live weight higher than markets since its establishment one year ago.

Joining the alliance, the local farmers earn more money to build new breeding facilities, wells, biogas tanks, buy new plough machines, grass cutting machines to serve the cow breeding, and expand male cow breeder herds and areas of grass as food for the animals.

The Agriculture Competitiveness Project in Binh Dinh continues its support for the cross-bred cow production alliance at Tay Thuan this year with the aim of popularizing the brand name of Binh Dinh cross-bred cows, expanding markets for the product and boosting up profits of the farmers.
