99.5 pct of 5-aged children go to school

Binh Dinh has a total of 190 nursery schools and all of them have implemented the new pre-school education program. According to the statistics, 99.5 percent of 5-year-old children went to school in the academic year 2011-2012.

The report was announced at the online conference on the universalization of pre-school education for 5-year-old children in the 2010-2015 period held yesterday (March 15). Binh Dinh is among 63 provinces and cities nationwide participated in the conference.

The participants discussed some shortcomings, such as policies for pre-school teachers, the shortage of money and schools.

Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan asked all bodies and localities to urgently solve the difficulties to finish the task before the deadline of 2015.
