Seminar on VietGap-certified vegetable held in Quy Nhon

First Secretary of New Zealand Embassy in Vietnam Kathryn Beckett at the seminar

The component of safe vegetable production was recognized to be implemented as planned, according to the province’s management unit for sustainable rural livelihood project.

A seminar on safe vegetable development under VietGap standards took place in Quy Nhon city on March 28.

Two groups of farmers participating in the component cultivated on an area of 3 hectares. They were instructed to apply technical procedures for production, processing, and package.

Their safe vegetable is certified with VietGAP standards. The management unit is asking the sponsor to fund the expansion of cultivation area.

Kathryn Beckett, who is in charge of New Zealand Aid Program (NZAP), promised to support the expansion of area of safe vegetable.
