2,000 hectares of forest to be grown

Binh Dinh Province’s localities planned to grow an area of 2,000 hectares of forest this year, with the total capital of 35.2 billion VND.

The provincial management unit for forestry sector development project (WB3 afforestation project) announced the plan in Quy Nhon city yesterday (April 19).

Of the total capital, the World Band funds over 30 billion while the localities contribute the rest. The localities include: An Nhon, Tuy Phuoc, Tay Son, Phu My, Van Canh, Phu Cat, Quy Nhon city and Hoai An.

The project has been carried out in Binh Dinh since 2005. About 11,801 hectares of forest was grown.
