Over 7.8 bln VND used to support offshore fishing

A total of more than 7.8 billion VND has been approved to support 224 fishermen who often go fishing offshore in the first phase of this year, according to deputy head of Binh Dinh aquaculture resources protection and exploitation division Mai Kim Chi.

Under the support, nearly 6 billion will be used to aid fishermen in fuel expenses while the rest will go to the communication system.

Binh Dinh approved a total of over 61 billion VND for offshore fishing in 2011.
