Construction began August 12 on the Long Van - Long My route linking National Highways 1A and 1D in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province.

The road is more than seven kilometres long and 42 metres wide, including six lanes for vehicles and pavement for pedestrians.

The route, invested with VND 995 billion (US$47.7 million), is being built by the Phuoc Loc group under a BT (build-transfer) contract and scheduled to be completed within 36 months.

The road runs through Tran Quang Dieu and Bui Thi Xuan wards and will be one of the key traffic routes in Quy Nhon city, aiming to facilitate transportation and ease traffic congestion on the National Highway 1A.

The route will also link Long My and Phu Tai industrial zones and Phuoc My commune with inner Quy Nhon city, which will boost the city’s socio-economic development.
