The Command of Tay Son district, Binh Dinh Province discovered and collected 13 sets of remains of martyrs and their belongings at the Kon River’s bank in Hoa Son Hamlet, Binh Tuong Commune on August 10th and 11th.

Colonel Nguyen Xuan Hoa, former officer of the Division 3 guessed that they might be the reinforced soldiers to Battalion 6 of Regiment 12 and killed in a enemy’s ambush on Road 19 in July, 1969. After the fight, the enemies used a bulldozer to bury the fallen combatants in a dumping ground near the river bank.

Previously, the Tay Son’s troops collected 23 sets of remains of martyrs, mostly female, who were officers of Binh Giang Commune and Division 3.
