La Tinh irrigation works put into operation

Items of the pilot La Tinh irrigation project have put into operation after being built since April 2009.

The project aiming to upgrade irrigation works in districts of Phu Cat and Phu My was invested with the total capital of 307 billion VND funded by Asia Development Bank (ADB).

The project is expected to ensure the water supply for 3,111 hectares of cultivation land and an area of 300 hectares for aquatic products breeding in 8 communes of Cat Son, Cat Hanh, Cat Tai, Cat Minh, My Hiep, My Tai, My Cat, and My Chanh.

The irrigation works will also help to minimize the disaster consequences and safely protect 1,427 hectares of agricultural land in communes of Cat Tai, Cat Minh, My Cat and My Chanh.
