The Central Natural Disaster Prevention Foundation handed over 10 rescue boats to pioneer rescue teams in the communes of Cat Chanh, An My, Hoai Chau Bac and Phuoc Hoa, and Nhon Binh ward, in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province on September 17th.

Mr. Phan Dien, CEO of the foundation, hoped that localities and rescue teams can well manage and efficiently use these VND 83 million ships, which were sponsored by Vietnam Milk Joint Stock Co. (Vinamilk), to secure the lives and properties of local people from natural disasters.

According to Mai Thanh Thang, Deputy Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee, under the support of the foundation, the province has built 5 structural works specializing in dealing with the aftermath of natural disasters and invested in various vehicles for rescue tasks.

Earlier, between August 21 and 24, the foundation conducted a training course to improve the competence of rescue teams at village and commune levels in Binh Dinh Province. Moreover, it presented 150 life-jackets, 50 lifebuoys and 15 hand-carried loudspeakers to Binh Dinh Province’s communes and wards.
