30 patients get supported for heart operations

Binh Dinh Red Cross Society last year coordinated with relevant bodies to raise nearly 1.4 billion VND to support the heart operations for 30 poor patients in Binh Dinh.

Under the program, it cooperated with Hue College of Medicine and Pharmacy’s Office of genetic counseling and disabled children, HCM City Heart Institute, and HCM City-based “Understanding heart” foundation to donate at least 20 million VND to each patients. The office also provided about 864 million VND to save lives of 22 under-18 year-old patients who suffered inborn heart diseases.

The institute and foundation contributed more than 330 million VND to operate 4 patients aging from 20-35.

In addition, the society had articles published, calling on different organizations and benefactors to provide over 205 million VND to other poor patients.
