Binh Dinh’s leaders and the representatives of the Petroleum Corporation of Thailand (PTT) submitted the pre-feasibility report on the giant oil refinery and petrochemical complex at Nhon Hoi Economic Zone to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Minister Vu Huy Hoang highly valued the PTT and Binh Dinh’s efforts and asked the investor to add some details to the report. Hoang also allowed PTT to carry out the feasibility report.

If the project is approved by PM, it is scheduled to kick off in early 2016 and operate by 2019.

The plant will be built on an area of 2,000 hectares with the total investment capital of nearly US$26.9 billion, generating about 660,000 barrels per day.
