Troops on ship BP 320403 of Flotilla 2 (Binh Dinh Province’s Border Guards) received a certificate of merit and a cash reward on February 18th for successfully rescuing a distressed trawler.

Earlier, on February 16th, trawler BD 98418-TS with 12 fishermen on board went adrift and was about to sink at sea, about 30 nautical miles from Quy Nhon Province’s coast, due to an engine breakdown.

Upon getting the mayday signal, the Binh Dinh Border Guard Command immediately assigned the “BP 320403” for the rescue mission. As a result, the troubled trawler and the fishermen were towed ashore safely.
