The provincial Party Committee's Standing Board on October 11 chaired the 9th conference of provincial Party Committee's Executive Board (the 17th term).
At the conference, reports on the social-economic situation in the first 9 months of 2007 were presented. The total output reached VND5,399,7 billion, accounting for 76.5% of yearly target and a rise of 12.7% over 2006. The public order and political security were stable, according to reports.
There were still, however, some weaknesses that need to be soon solved, such as: the slow development of industrial production, the deforestation, and inadequate social-cultural activities.
Also, key tasks on economy, national defence, and political system for the 4th quarter of 2007 were proposed.
