Free eye check and glasses for refractive eyes provided

Under the cooperation between Fred Hollow Foundation, an Australia-based NGO, and Third World Eye Care Society Canada (TWECS), TWECS has provided a free eye check and eyeglasses for refractive errors for people in Binh Dinh from November 14 to 17.

The group includes 22 who are ophthalmologists and volunteers. Chairman of TWECS, Marina Roma March, led the group.

As planned, nearly 3,000 people have had their eyes checked freely. Also, eyeglasses have been provided for people whose eyes have refractive errors. On this occasion, TEWCS and Binh Dinh Ophthalmology Center plan to hold a meeting on sharing experiences in the refractive errors treatment. TWECS is to visit Binh Dinh social sponsoring center.

TWECS will continue their activities in Phu Yen Province later.
