Regional conference held in Quy Nhon

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP), Environment Development Action Organisation in Vietnam (ENDA Vietnam), and Quy Nhon City People's Committee held a regional conference on "solid waste management and compost fertilizer production in the community " project on December 15-16 in Quy Nhon city.

Over 100 representatives of NGO, 10 countries, and provinces attended the conference.

The conference was an opportunity for experts to contribute and share experiences in the solid waste recycling and environment protection.

The project has been conducted in many countries. It has also been applied in Nhon Phu ward of Quy Nhon city for two years. Thanks to the project, 80 percent of the waste solid was used to produce the compost fertilizer, reducing the number of solid waste discarded into the environment.
