Binh Dinh Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) on July 13 held a meeting to summarize the contribution of VFF to the 12th National Assembly Election. The Standing Deputy Province Committee secretary - Pham Van Thanh, the Permanent Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Province Committee – Nguyen Van Thien, Binh Dinh’s NA deputies and leaders of organisations under the VFF attended the meeting.
In the preparations for the 12th NA election, the provincial Committee of VFF closely followed the plan of the election Committee, actively cooperating with the provincial election Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and relevant bodies and agencies. Steps for the negotiation to introduce NA candidates were carried out democratically and legally.
The provincial Committee of VFF in cooperation with city’s and districts’ VFF held many meetings for NA candidates and voters at 39 venues. The observation of VFF and its member organisations was better conducted, compared to the previous NA election.
VFF and organisations actively propagandize voters to cast their votes with the rate of 99.94%. The Central Committee of VFF honoured the Binh Dinh Committee of VFF for its achievements.
Also, on this occasion, Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee and the provincial Committee of VFF honoured individuals and organizations for their contributions to the 12th NA election,
In the morning of the same day, the provincial Committee of VFF had held the 7th meeting to preliminarily conclude the first half of 2007, conducting the next six months. At the meeting, the Binh Dinh’s Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin was admitted to the VFF and seven members of VFF- the 8th term were replaced.
