Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee has donated VND300 million (US$18,000) to Southern provinces of Laos, including Sekong and Attapeu.
VND100 million donated to Sekong province will be used to buy educational facilities. VND200 million for Attapeu province will be used to buy educational facilities and broadcasting equipment.
Previously, Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee decided to donate VND300 million to Attapeu for the re-construction of Attapeu’s Friendship Park.
The donation is under the agreement signed between Binh Dinh’s high-ranking delegation and leaders of Laos’ Southern provinces in March, 2007. Under the agreement, Binh Dinh will support Southern provinces of Laos in the development of education, and culture and information.
