58th anniversary of Vietnamese Students' Day held

A ceremony was held on January 8 at Quang Trung University, marking the 58th anniversary of Vietnamese Students' Day (January 9, 1950–January 9, 2008). Over 500 students attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, students' traditional undauntedness in struggle and the bravery of the hero Tran Van On were reviewed.

On this occasion, the "January Star" Award was presented to Luong Thi Hong Cam, student of Quy Nhon University and Tran Thien Chinh, student of Binh Dinh Teachers' Training College.

Also, 10 Thanh Nien Newspaper's Nguyen Thai Binh scholarships and 5 "Study Encouragement" ones were offered to other excellent students.
