Deputy PM inspects flood aftermath overcoming in Binh Dinh

Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai and his entourage paid a working visit to Binh Dinh to inspect and steer the overcoming of flood aftermath in Binh Dinh on Nov. 29.

He visited flood-hit areas such as Dap Loi water reservoir in My Hoa commune, Phu My district and Con River-Phu Giao dyke in Phu Cat district.

Provincial leaders held a meeting with the delegation on the same day. Provincial Chairman Nguyen Van Thien briefed on the floods which seriously affected many localities in Binh Dinh.

He petitioned the Government for aiding Binh Dinh with VND170.5 billion (US$10 million) to overcome the flood aftermath.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat also petitioned the Government for soon approve project on upgrading dykes and water reservoirs in Binh Dinh because most are no longer in good condition.

Deputy PM Hai highly appreciated Binh Dinh’s efforts in preventing the flood and overcoming its aftermath.

He asked provincial leaders to focus on the people’s lives and the disease prevention in flood-hit areas. Binh Dinh should soon submit dyke and water reservoir projects to the Government for approval.
