The 13th session of the 10th People’s Council closed on December 12. At three-day meeting, participants talked about the 2008’s socio-economic development tasks, national defence security, and other key issues in 2009.
The Provincial People’s Council pointed out many shortcomings in some fields, such as the low economic growth, slow ground clearance and compensation, as well as the inefficiency of natural resources and land management.
Most reports also agreed that the overload of patients in hospitals and educational quality haven’t been improved.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Provincial People’s Council Vu Hoang Ha appealed to the whole people, organizations, and bodies in Binh Dinh to overcome difficulties, striving to gain the economic growth of 11% in 2009.
It’s necessary to focus on the agricultural and industrial, trade and services development, and to connect the sustainable development with social welfare and environment protection, gradually improving the people’s living standard, he said.
