The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) sponsored the construction of 10 primary schools in Binh Dinh from 2001-2002, including Tay Thuan, Vinh An, Tay Vinh, Tay Binh, Tay An (Tay Son District), Cat Nhon (Phu Cat), Nhon Phong (An Nhon), Phuoc Hung (Tuy Phuoc), Bui Thi Xuan and Quang Trung (Quy Nhon).
The Korean Embassy in Ha Noi, KOICA’s representative office in Vietnam, and Seogwoo Construction Co., Ltd visited Binh Dinh to make a survey on these schools in late July this year.
KOICA then decided to support the repair of 10 primary schools with the capital of 120,000 USD. The repair is expected to start by the summer holiday next year.
KOICA under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT) implements grant aid and technical cooperation program of the Government of the Republic of Korea, thereby contributing to promoting socio-economic advancement in Vietnam. Its volunteers have come to Binh Dinh to provide trainning courses in some fields.
