The 53th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2008) was celebrated on February 26 in Binh Dinh. Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh Province People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh attended the ceremony.

Last year, provincial medical agencies overcame difficulties, reaping many achievements. The treatment was improved and advanced technologies were applied.

The 2008's tasks aim to decrease the death rate caused by diseases, improve the people's health and living standard, and provide more services for patients.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman Binh highly appreciated achievements, asking medical bodies to pay attention to the improvement of treatment and medical etiquette and the discovery of new diseases.

She also urged them to promote the administrative reform, socialization, and State management.
