Permanent Vice Chairman receives JICA's consultant

Permanent Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People's Committee Nguyen Van Thien received the consultant of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Nakayama Ryuji on March 5.

The visit of JICA delegation to Binh Dinh aimed to know how effective Japan Government-aided schools in Binh Dinh operate. They also wanted to know more about Binh Dinh's socio-economic development plan 2010 and the vision 2020.

Japan Government aided Vietnam in building 80 schools nationwide, including 14 primary schools in Binh Dinh in the period 1997-2000.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Thien highly appreciated the support of Japan Government and affirmed that 14 schools have effectively operated in the past few years.

Binh Dinh will focus on the industry and construction development, including the irrigation and transport infrastructure and industrial zones for the socio-economic development strategy.
