1st Binh Dinh Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association Congress held

The first Congress of Binh Dinh Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association for the 2008-2010 term was held in Quy Nhon on April 27. Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh attended the congress.

Reports stated that the friendly relations between Laos and Vietnam as well as Binh Dinh Province and Laos’ Southern Provinces are more and more promoted in the past years.

Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee proposed a plan to further the cooperation with Laos’ provinces of Attapeu, Champassak, and Sekong last year. Other cooperation programs have so far operated effectively.

At the congress, the 11-member executive board was elected.
