CBR project kicked off

Binh Dinh Red Cross held a seminar on starting the community-based rehabilitation (CBR) project sponsored by Italian Association Amici di Raoul Follereau (AIFO) on April 28.

Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh, head of AIFO in Vietnam, Mr. Lorenzo, and representatives of relevant bodies and agencies attended the seminar.

CBR project will be conducted in Binh Dinh and other six provinces in three years (2008-2010). In Binh Dinh, the project plans to be carried out in Districts of An Nhon and Tay Son.

Under the project, AIFO will aid the rehabilitation with medical equipment, train the staff for the community-based rehabilitation, and set up the volunteer network.

At the seminar, participants talked about the disabled in localities, difficulties in the rehabilitation, and suitable measures.
