Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh on July 3 received with Chief Executive of Fred Hollows Foundation (FHF) Brian Andrew Doolan.

At the reception, Vice Chairwoman Binh highly appreciated the role of FHF in helping Binh Dinh conduct the “eye care project” with the aid of US$490,000.

The project aims to improve Binh Dinh Ophthalmological Center and train the medical staff to effectively treat eyes-related diseases. It also promoted the management and cooperation in conducting the project. FHF aided in treating the blindness for 3,561 poor people in Binh Dinh.

Binh Dinh was one of provinces carrying out the blindness prevention program effectively, said B.A Doolan. He hoped that FHF would be able to continue to aid the provincial Ophthalmological Center.
