The delegation led by Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Le Nam Thang on August 14 worked in Binh Dinh on the flood prevention and control, search and rescue.
Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee Le Huu Loc and leaders of relevant bodies held a meeting with the delegation.
Reports stated that 296 households in high-risk areas have been moved to safe locations this year. People are well aware of the flood prevention and control.
Functional bodies and local authorities have prepared all things for the flood prevention and control and search and rescue.
Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee asked Ministries and Central bodies to help Binh Dinh in communicating between the mainland and fishing vessels operating offshore, conducting the information system in remote and mountainous areas. Binh Dinh also asked the aid of VND480 billion to upgrade 39 water reservoirs and dikes.
Speaking at the meeting, Thang highly appreciated Binh Dinh’s preparations for the flood prevention and control and search and rescue.
He asked Binh Dinh to effectively carry out the flood prevention and control and search and rescue, promising to pay attention to Binh Dinh’s suggestions.
