Thousands of teachers and students in Binh Dinh as well as nationwide started the new academic year on September 5. Secretary of provincial Party Committee Vu Hoang Ha attended the opening ceremony at Le Quy Don gifted high school on Sep.4; Permanent Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee Pham Van Thanh visited Binh Dinh boarding school for ethnic minorities; and Chairman of provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien came to Quoc Hoc high school.
Provincial leaders congratulated all teachers and students on the occasion of new academic year, praising them for their efforts in previous academic years.
Provincial leaders also asked schools to implement their major tasks, particularly the Two Nos’ campaign with four contents.
Improving the quality of teachers and education managers and promoting information technology application are also two of major tasks.
Binh Dinh’s education and training service built more 462 classrooms in the 2008-2009 academic year. Educational facilities were also invested, meeting all requirements for teaching and learning.
On September 5, Binh Dinh Vocational Training School started courses for disabled students, helping them to acquire the basic knowledge alongside skills.
Also, Sai Gon Commercial Joint Stock Bank’s Binh Dinh branch on Sep.5 presented gifts to 200 students of schools in Quy Nhon city and Hoai Nhon District.
On the occasion of new academic year, Binh Dinh Newspaper’s youth union and Co.op Mart Quy Nhon presented 20 scholarships to disadvantaged students of An Nhon No3 senior high school to help them in studying.
