Seminar on enhancing HIV/AIDS prevention held

The seminar on enhancing the HIV/AIDS prevention and control was held in Quy Nhon in Sep.15-16. Provincial Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh chaired the seminar with the participation of many leaders of relevant bodies.

The seminar aided by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention and control.

Participants talked about HIV/AIDS prevention-related issues, such as the global pandemic of AIDS, Vietnam and the fight against HIV/AIDS, and main contents of law on HIV/AIDS prevention and control.

They also presented some reports about the discrimination against HIV-infected people, the role of provincial bodies in preventing and controlling HIV/AIDS, and measures to prevent the spread of HIV in Binh Dinh.
