Binh Dinh Development Support Center (CEDASIT) is to be converted into a science-technology enterprise under the Government’s Decree No 115. It is now diversifying training programmes for the breakthrough.

The Cedasit was set up under the provincial People’s Committee’s Decision No 81/2002/QD-UB. Its main functions include international cooperation and technology transfer.

The quality is its top priority. Before enrolling for a course, students must pass an online exam designed according to Aptech’s international standards. The curriculum is annually updated, meeting the demand in the IT sector.

The IT development also requires instructors to improve their qualification by joining online courses. The Aptech’s staff must take an online exam to be certificated, helping them to be qualified for their jobs.

Annually, the Cedasit’s staff could be able attend training courses. Alongside these, students are encouraged to evaluate their instructors. Those who meet requirements will be able to continue their teaching.

At present, there are about 950 students attending courses at Cedasit. “Most IT engineers enrolled for computer programmer courses three years ago,” said Cedasit director Thai Hoang Uan. “But now they also involve high school-graduated students. Most of them could find jobs after graduation.”

It is now cooperating with Da Nang University of Technology to open courses for those who want to become technicians. It also plans to cooperate with HCMC University of Natural Sciences to open online IT MA courses.

Cedasit is now providing other services, such as software and website design and computer maintenance.

Cedasit strengthens not only its training programmes but facilities, aiming to improve its operation to be ready for a science-technology enterprise in the coming time.
