40 rice tons for poor in Tet holiday

Vice Chairwoman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh received the Vietnam Red Cross delegation led by its vice chairman Doan Van Thai on Jan. 10.

Binh briefed on the province’s socio-economic situation, including the flood aftermath and relief activities in 2008.

She also highly appreciated Binh Dinh Red Cross’s support for helping the flood victims last year.

Binh Dinh Red Cross has effectively implemented the “capacity building of Binh Dinh Red Cross” program, Thai said. He vowed to continue aiding Binh Dinh Red Cross.

Vietnam Red Cross also decided to provide 40 tons of rice for poor people in Binh Dinh on the occasion of lunar New Year festival.
