47 inmates released early for Tet

15,140 prisoners, including 47 in Binh Dinh detention centre, will benefit from the presidential amnesty, gaining early release on the occasion of Tet (lunar New Year) holiday 2009.

The amnesty was announced at Binh Dinh detention center on Jan. 17.

Colonel Nguyen Trung Tam, director of Binh Dinh Public Security, asked beneficiaries to do their utmost to integrate into the community.
