Provincial Chairman pays pre-Tet visit to religious dignitaries

Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien on Jan. 22 paid a pre-Tet visit to Most Venerable Thich Thien Nhon, head of Binh Dinh Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board, Most Venerable Thich Phuoc Thanh, and Cau Kho Tam Quan’s Cao Dai religious sect.

Thien talked about the province’s socio-economic achievements last year and the 2009’s orientations. He highly valued religious dignitaries and followers’ contributions to the province’s development.

He also expressed the hope that monks, nuns, and religious followers will continue to contribute to the country and province’s construction.

Provincial Chairman Thien extended his happy New Year greetings to all on the occasion of Tet.

Religious dignitaries thanked provincial leaders for their concern for religious organizations in Binh Dinh.
