Binh Dinh offers relief aid to Kon Tum

Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung (L) donates relief aid to his counterpart, Kon Tum province’s Vice Chairman Dao Xuan Qui.

Binh Dinh delegation headed by Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung on Oct. 8 went to Kon Tum province, offering relief aid to victims of typhoon Ketsana.

Typhoon Ketsana, which is considered the most powerful storm to hit Vietnam in the past 45 years, swept through the central regions and Central Highlands and left 49 dead and 2 missing in Kon Tum province. Also, the traffic system, houses, schools, and other facilities were severely damaged.

Dung extended the sympathy to his counterpart of Kon Tum province, Vice Chairman Dao Xuan Qui, over storm losses and announced 100 million VND in aid for the victims.

Qui expressed many thanks for assisting the province in overcoming the storm aftermath, promising to quickly allocate the relief aid to those who live in the storm-hit areas.

Binh Dinh had also offered 100 million VND and 2 tons of noodles to the central province of Quang Ngai to help its victims overcome the consequences of storm Ketsana.
