“Housing for the poor” project boosted
15:8', 15/10/ 2009 (GMT+7)

Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Le Huu Loc steered city’s and districts’ People’s Committees to boost the implementation of “housing for the poor” project, Binh Dinh Portal said on Oct. 14.

Accordingly, about 2,197 poor households will receive financial assistance in building new houses this year. Also, Vinh Thanh district’s People’s Committee was assigned to raise the fund from enterprises in the district and mobilize households to take out loans.

Vinh Thanh district was also permitted to receive VND1 billion funded by PetroVietnam to build houses for poor people under the Social Welfare Program 2009.

Poor people whose houses were destroyed in the typhoon Ketsana will be financed to build new ones.
