Binh Dinh holds ethnic minority congress

The Representative Congress of Ethnic Minority Groups of Binh Dinh Province opened on Dec. 28 in Quy Nhon city, attracting 250 delegates representing 32,500 ethnic minority people across the province.

Deputy head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilisation Nguyen Manh Hung, the province’s leaders, and representatives of provincial bodies and agencies attended the congress.

Reports presented at the congress emphasized the great contribution of ethnic minority groups to the province’s development.

Many comprehensive socio-economic development measures for ethnic minority people have been implemented in the past few years, improving their living standard, according to the reports.

Addressing at the congress, Secretary of provincial Party Committee Vu Hoang Ha highly appreciated the ethnic minority people’s efforts, asking all people to consolidate the great national unity bloc.

Also, on this occasion, outstanding groups and individuals were honored for their contributions to the patriotic emulation movement.
