VND2.4 bn raised for disabled people

The province’s Association for Disabled People and Orphans raised VND2.4 billion for the disabled last year, a surge of 10% over 2007, said reports at the meeting held on Feb. 17 in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province.

The Association’s affiliates have been set up in five of 11 provinces and city in Binh Dinh with 1,080 members.

They operated effectively last year, helping many disabled people, orphans, and underprivileged children.
