BIDV offers VND1 bn to build houses for poor people

Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee on Mar. 10 held an announcement ceremony on granting VND1 billion to build houses for the poor in three mountainous Districts in Binh Dinh.

Building houses for the poor is under the “Social Welfare- For poor people” program sponsored by the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), aiming to respond to the Government’s measures to curb inflation, stabilize the macro-economy, and assure social security and sustainable development.

50 households in Districts of Vinh Thanh, Van Canh, An Lao will be aided in building new houses. The provincial People’s Committee and BIDV signed an agreement on implementing the “Social Welfare-For poor people” program.

The province’s Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh highly appreciated the significance of the program.

She assigned the Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Welfare to cooperate with BIDV-Binh Dinh branch and functional bodies to implement the program.
