The No 47 Construction JSC opened its labor export service on Mar. 7, creating favourable conditions for laborers who want to work abroad.
The company has newly operated the service; therefore, it can only export laborers to Malaysia and Macau, according to head of the company’s labor export service, Pham Van Lich.
It planned to seek contracts in Japan, Australia, and Middle East countries, but they stopped receiving overseas laborers as the company opened its service.
Before 2007, there were a large number of laborers in Binh Dinh going abroad to work, but the figure has reduced since then owing to many reasons.
The opening of labor export service is expected to create more opportunities for laborers to work overseas. At present, the company is providing the information for laborers, aiming to help them have a thorough understanding of procedures and fees.
Also, it has cooperated with vocational training centers and schools to recruit skilled laborers to work in countries requiring highly skilled workers.
“Due to the global economic regression, the labor export markets are now frozen,” said the company’s general director Nguyen Luong Am. “But they will soon recover; thus, the company is only preparing the labor force to wait for the demands.”
The company focuses on carefully select countries where there are stable jobs with high wages, aiming to reduce risk for Vietnamese laborers, he added.
In the short term, the company planned to help its employees to work abroad, said Am. This will help its employees to get familiar with work habits and advanced technologies in developed countries. They will then return to work at the company.
