At the ceremony marking the Buddha’s 2553rd birthday |
The Executive Board of Binh Dinh Province Buddhist Sangha solemnly held a ceremony at the province’s Buddhist Sangha Pagoda on May 9 to mark the Buddha’s 2553rd birthday.
Many Buddhist dignitaries, the province’s leaders, and Buddhist monk, nuns and followers attended the ceremony.
During 2000 years of its establishment, Vietnam’s Buddhism has been joining hands with the entire nation in the national construction and defence, and building up the national unity.
Addressing the event, Chairman of the province’s Fatherland Front Committee, Truong Dinh Tan, spoke highly of the role of Buddhism, particular of the province’s Buddhist Sangha’s, in encouraging Buddhist monks, nuns and followers to actively join in campaigns for the national solidarity.
