30th founding anniversary of Air Force Regiment No 940 marked

The Air Force Regiment No 940 held a ceremony on May 20, marking the 30th founding anniversary of Air Force Regiment No 940.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Pham Van Thanh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Province People’s Committee, Le Huu Loc, Major-general Tran Van Thi, deputy commander of Air Force and Air Defense Arm attended the ceremony.

The Air Force Regiment No 940 has fulfilled its tasks in the past 30 years. Many pilots have been trained here, meeting the demand for forces.

Speaking at the ceremony, Thanh emphasized its role in the mass mobilization, gratitude and poverty-alleviation movements, and other events.

He expressed the hope that the Regiment would continue upholding its tradition, coordinating with relevant bodies to safely protect the Phu Cat Airport.

Thi also asked the Regiment to strengthen its operation, fulfilling tasks assigned.
