The employment is now an urgent matter. The province’s employment agency opened a career exhibition on May 20-21, offering more chances for job seekers and companies.
Result of job fairs
Binh Dinh Employment Agency and Hoai Nhon continuing Education Center were connected online in two days (May 20-21) for the job fairs. Joining the fairs, job seekers and recruiters could find suitable jobs and recruit laborers.
Representatives of 47 companies joined two fairs in person and others sought laborers via the internet. Also, 995 job seekers came to the fairs, hoping to apply for suitable jobs.
The company was lacking 300 workers, said a personnel official of Binh Dinh Garment Joint Stock Company. But due to the shortage of qualified labor force, we had to join the fair, hoping to recruit unqualified laborers.
Huu Thinh company also participated in the fair, aiming to recruit 26 people who have qualifications. The representative of the company had many appointments with job seekers for interview in the first job fair.
Many also visited the vocational training exhibition, but only a few enrolled for vocational training courses.
Employment opportunities
The opening of the career exhibition offered more opportunities for not only recruiters but laborers. Alongside scores of people coming to the job fairs, there were thousands of people finding jobs at www.vieclambinhdinh.net.
Tran Phu Vinh, an electrical engineer, joined the fair hoping to apply for another job with higher income.
“Participating in the fair, I could know more about the company and job I wanted to apply for,” Vinh said. “Also, I could know the result at once after a quick interview.”
Nguyen Thanh Nguyet, fourth-year-student of Quy Nhon University, said the job fair offered her more employment opportunities. She applied for a job as receptionist at No 47 Construction Joint Stock Company.
The career exhibition had many advantages, said director of the province’s employment agency. It helped reduce travel expenses for job seekers.
The career exhibition attracted more people than other job fairs, but there were not many who really wanted to find jobs and recruit laborers, he added.
