The “entrance exam aid” program has been held for eight times. All relevant bodies and volunteers are now making every effort to ensure the success of the exams.

Joining the event together

Most candidates will be like a fish out of water because they will go far from home for the first time. They will, therefore, face difficulties in finding accommodations, exam venues and means of transport.

Steering Boards for “entrance exam” program were set up, aiming to best serve candidates and their relatives who will come to Binh Dinh for the first time.

Alongside 100 volunteers, a group of 60 Youth Union members with motorbike is also ready to carry students taking the exams in Tuy Phuoc district.

The People’s Committee of Tuy Phuoc district also offered VND12 million to volunteers. The district’s police have been assigned to be on duty at the “hot” venues day and night, including Dieu Tri Station, Ong Do bridge, and Ba Di bridge.

About 88 thousands of students are expected to come to Quy Nhon city in early July. The city’s Steering Board for “entrance exam aid” program, thus, mobilized 430 volunteers to join the event.

However, the real figure is much higher than the number of volunteers registered. “The ward’s “entrance exam aid” group of 20 volunteers is always present at the city’s coach station every year,” said Nguyen Thanh Tung, Secretary of Nguyen Van Cu ward’s Youth Union. “But in fact the tasks often require nearly 100 volunteers.”

The city’s Youth Union is frequently updating the schedules of coaches and trains, aiming to partly reduce volunteer’s pressure.

The wards’ halls have also been used as temporary accommodations for candidates who will come to the city at night.

An Nhon District will receive nearly five thousands students in the coming time. Three thousands free and cheap accommodations will be offered to those who will take exams in the district.

Dormitories at Quy Nhon University and Quang Trung College will be rented for VND15,000-20,000 per person.

Volunteers are ready

Volunteers are now ready at 48 venues, including stations, main T-junctions, bus stops,  and exam venues. They will assist candidates in finding accommodation, roads, prices, and means of transport and keep traffic safety under control.

They have collected the information about free and cheap accommodations, prices, exam venues, and enrollment regulations in the past one month.

Candidates who have their acquaintances in the city may not need the volunteer’s help, but it’s necessary for those who don’t have.

Volunteers, therefore, must be cautious about helping students. Tran Thi Kim Anh, one of Quy Nhon University’s volunteers, said once she had kept a candidate’s exam announcement for several days due to her careless. She then couldn’t find out the candidate to return to the paper. Fortunately, the candidate came to find her.

With the slogan “Your success is our happiness”, volunteers always strive to best serve those who want their help.

Alongside their tasks, volunteers may become accidental drivers or protectors in the next few days when candidates face difficulties.

What volunteers have done is expected to leave a very good impression on candidates and their relatives nationwide.
