Binh Dinh’s fishing boats seized in Indonesia

Three fishing vessels, BD 50544-TS with 11 people on board, BD 51076-TS with 6, and BD 50493-TS with 6, from the province’s Hoai Huong were seized in Indonesia on June 28.

The Indonesian patrol forces seized them when they were fishing in the south of Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spartly) Archipelago, said provincial Border Guard Headquarters.

BD 50493-TS and 19 fishermen were released then.

The authorities are now investigating the causes.

On June 27, three fishermen from Binh Dinh’s Cat Tien commune seized in Malaysia were released. They were also seized when they were fishing in the south of Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spartly) Archipelago on January 20.
